These oils are usually made with a combination of synthetic and natural components, to create more complex and stable scents. Fragrance oils can be formulated to smell like a natural scent such as strawberries or vanilla, or a scent that cannot be obtained naturally, such as sea breeze or spring rain.
These oils can be prepared in several ways: some are combined with synthetic compounds, while others are made with natural essential oils with another carrier oil for dilution. Fragrance oils mostly serve to add a fragrant smell to the environment, and are ideal for use in oil burners, potpourri, sprays, room fresheners, as well as homemade beauty and body products. They are also often used to make perfume, soaps, shampoos and fragrance candles.
